Here at Swansea Grand Theatre we endeavour to make our theatre accessible to all. We are an historic building and we've made changes to ensure your visit is as enjoyable as possible.

Booking

Our friendly Box Office team can provide seat recommendations and answer any questions you might have.
Our Box Office is open 10.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Saturday on non-show days and from 12.00pm until 15 minutes after curtain up on show days. For Sunday shows, Box Office is open 1 hour before the start time.

Parking
A number of blue badge spaces are available in the pay and display car park on Singleton Street opposite the theatre. The main theatre entrance has a large drop off area.

Wheelchair Access
We have a lift in our Box Office foyer that provides access to all floors including the Grand Circle in the main auditorium and the Arts Wing Depot Theatre. There is level access for wheelchair users into the stalls and the Malthouse Bar and Restaurant.

Accessible Seating
We have a number of armless seats available for easy access as well as spaces for wheelchair users and companions in the stalls and in the Grand Circle. There are also wheelchair spaces available in the Arts Wing.

Accessible toilet and changing facilities
We have an accessible toilet on the ground floor near the Malthouse, one in the Arts Wing and a Changing Places toilet with hoist near the Box Office.

Baby Changing
Baby changing facilities are available on the ground floor ladies' toilet (nearest to The Malthouse) and in the men's toilet on the Grand Circle level (Box Office side).
Pushchair parking is available on the ground level at the bottom of each staircase and are left at the owners' risk.

Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the building.

Hearing System
We have a Sennheiser Infrared loop system to enhance your theatre experience.

British Sign Language Interpreted Performances
We regularly programme BSL interpreted performances for our most popular theatre productions. Our Box Office can recommend the best seats for visibility of the interpretation.

Audio Description (AD)
We make sure that some of our best shows are accessible to visually impaired visitors, with regular audio described performances, we have around 30 headsets available for use.

Relaxed Performances (RF)
Our relaxed performances offer an opportunity for visitors with Autistic Spectrum Disorders or learning/sensory needs to enjoy theatre in a relaxed and informal environment. The audience are free to make noise or move around and we offer a quiet space away from the auditorium.

RP tickets can be bought online and we offer a no-questions-asked refund policy right up until the moment the show starts. In preparation for your visit, you may wish to contact us to organise a touch tour, or download our Visual Story  Visual Story ENGLISH (PDF) [3MB] . 

Dementia Friendly
We have staff members trained to assist customers with dementia and we offer shows similar to the relaxed performances.

Please note that strobe lighting is sometimes used in shows, we place notices at the auditorium entrance when this is the case.
