Papertrail, in association with Clean Break, will be presenting Siân Owen's powerful play, A Visit.
Directed by Bridget Keehan.
Cast: Siwan Morris, Bethan McLean and Lizzie Caitlin Bennett.
A Visit is about crime, justice and childcare and who takes care of the kids when a mum gets sent to prison.
Fifteen year old Angharad is visiting her mum Ffion in a prison far away from their home in Aberdare. She's been taken there by her Aunty Carys, who has been doing her best to look after her, but it's not easy taking care of a teenager and Aunty Carys never planned on being a mum.
So who is going to look after Angharad?
Papertrail and Siân Owen have created a gripping piece of theatre inspired by the real life stories of the women and young people they have worked with.
All performances have integrated captions and two BSL interpreters - Claire Anderson & Cathryn McShane.
There will be a post-show panel discussion with cast and creatives involved in A Visit and a representative from the Prison Advice Care Trust who has worked closely with Papertrail (Patsy Hunt and/or Stuart Lynch).
Content Warnings: The play contains references to supply of illegal drugs and imprisonment.
